Three daffodils rise through a deep violet field, their long stems converging below before separating towards the light.
Their familiar forms are reconstructed through planes of yellow, ochre and orange. The trumpet of each flower projects outward in a different direction, transforming the nested geometry of the Quadriflower into volume and perspective. Below, stems and leaves stretch almost the entire height of the composition, giving the work a strong upward movement.
There is space between the flowers. Each is allowed to emerge independently, while remaining connected to the others through the narrow gathering of greens beneath them.
As some of the first flowers to appear after winter, daffodils carry with them an instinctive sense of renewal. Here, that emergence becomes almost architectural: growth constructed through line, colour and geometry, quiet return to life with the arrival of spring.
