Loves Me, Loves Me Not

Acrylic on canvas, 75 cm x 75 cm - Available

Loves Me, Loves Me Not transforms the familiar childhood ritual of plucking daisy petals into a composition suspended between hope and uncertainty.

The flowers gather and overlap, their white geometric forms turning in different directions against a deep red ground. Order remains within each flower, but across the composition that order begins to loosen: scale shifts, angles change, and one bloom gives way to another.

At their centres, small fields of yellow punctuate the white, like answers waiting to be revealed. Around them, sharp green leaves emerge and disappear between the flowers, adding another rhythm to the apparent disorder.

The geometry offers structure, but no certainty. The question contained within the title remains unanswered, loves me, loves me not, leaving the final petal, and the final answer, to the imagination.
